Hi  It sounds like from what you said ....

That those who have epilepsy the and our allergic to garlic and sulfites should not take MSM is that correct ???

This is what the livefooddoctor said - "The reaction to MSM is due to the sulfur content, which is actually what makes it works so well! If you have had past reactions to garlic, sulfa drugs or wine with sulfites, you could react to MSM. "

    Thanks Craig

    Hi Blueyz,

My name is Riza. I'm from Canada, a certified organic skincare formulator who also happens to have sensitive, itchy, and dry skin. As coconut oil is great for the body's skin, I personally not a fan of it when used on the face. Why, you ask? Because coconut oil is highly comedogenic, meaning it has a tendency to clog pores. What other oils are you mixing with the scrub? Different oils have different comedogenic ratings. Opt for oils with the lowest ratings like jojoba oil, sunflower oil, and argan oil. Also, consider the sugar you are using, it must have a fine texture because when you use bigger granules on your face skin, you're likely to be damaging your moisture skin barrier which will lead to dry skin. For now, let your skin breathe and cut back your exfoliation. Do a 'dry skin reset plan' instead. I hope this helps :)

     Hi Ladydaventry,

Though drinking water will help with hydration, it's not enough to help with your dry skin. By the way, my name is Riza. I'm from Canada, a certified organic skincare formulator who also happens to have sensitive, itchy, and dry skin.

A range of variables, including the environment and certain medical conditions, can contribute to dry skin. It is indeed that your body is going through some changes (hormonal, sometimes).

As a start, what I suggest you do is to have a 'dry skin reset plan'. Then follow with hydration from the inside out. Drink plenty of water, use warm (not hot) water and limit bath time, and most especially, use a humidifier.

Be sure to avoid these things too:

    - using a harsh cleanser
    - washing too often
    - exfoliating too much
    - using the wrong moisturizer for your skin type

    Hope this helps :)

    Hi Lauroli,

My name is Riza. I'm from Canada, a certified organic skincare formulator who also happens to have sensitive, itchy, and dry skin. Your boyfriend's skin barrier might be damaged. In that case, he needs to start with a skin reset plan.

Hydration from the inside and out is vital. Drink plenty of water, use warm (not hot) water and limit bath time, and most especially, use a humidifier.

Be sure to avoid these things too:

    - using a harsh cleanser
    - washing too often
    - exfoliating too much
    - using the wrong moisturizer for your skin type

And to answer your question about which moisturizer to use, I would recommend brands such as:

    Cerave – Moisturizing Cream
La Roche Posay – Double Repair Face Moisturizer
    Vanicream – Moisturizing Lotion
Biossance – Squalane + Probiotic Gel Moisturizer
First Aid Beauty – Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration

    Hope these help :)
