I think it's just the oxygen bubbles sent up by your blender while it works. I noticed in the past that happened primarily when the smoothie was more watery than thick and creamy
I wasn't adding much water, or I thought I wasn't...the froth doesn't go after either. I'll try adding less water/juice and see if it stops happening! Thanks. I thought smoothie making would be easy lol. Mine look nothing like the photos in the booklet that came with it.
The only time I ever have this happen is when I am using a heavy amount of fresh greens and water as the base. Doesn't happen when I use a greens powder. I think it has to do with the break down of the cell wall in the greens. Do you happen to have a VitaMix? I ask because it will break down the cell wall a lot more than a regular blender. I don't recall this ever happening before when I had a smaller, less powerful blender.
It is a smoothie maker and I only have been putting fruit in it Caleb. It isn't an expensive one- it was about
Yeah try less water although i feel at times its the actual blender/juicer my old phillips juicer used to do this all the time leaving a horrible veggie froth on top that had to be sivved off.
Are you putting too much into your blender at one time? This is the only time I get frothy smoothies. Try splitting your smoothie in half and see if that helps. :)
If it doesn't, you may just be over-blending and in that case probably need a more powerful blender.

The one I made 2 days ago was better- I put the fruit in (it wasn't a lot) blended it- then added soem red grape juice and blended again. The fruit didn't go that smooth - my friend thought it might be either because it is a cheap smoothie maker or that I needed to blend longer. I'll keep practising! ;)
I added red grapes for the first time to my usual berry smoothie and it was slightly frothy must be something to do with the water content as i lowered the water i add the next time and it was less frothy.
Did it taste nice though? I like red grapes with berries. :)
It was nice greenwood although not as nice as just the berries, i usually do a pack of blueberries, around 15 strawberries and a pack of raspberries. Sometimes i alternate blackberries in. Id say it was more watery which kind of made it not as good as just the berries.
I dont digest bananas well sadly so berries are my staple for smoothies.
