slimy buckwheat

After soaking the buckwheat overnight, when I rinsed it this morning it was super slimy. I want to sprout it but everytime I look at it or rinse it it’s still really slimy and weirding me out. I’ve never used buckwheat before so is this normal?

  • slimy buckwheat is normal, just rinse it until the water is clear..i only soak my buckwheat for about 6hrs and then rinse it. it’s ready to make bread(which i use it for)in a day and half..

I use a giant strainer and a big bowl to rinse and then sprout the buckwheat. I put a plate over the top to sprout.
