    Hi RawJim,

I kinda got behind on the almond thing. Have they actually passed that law now? Is it only in the US, or in Canada also? I signed a petition, but hadn’t kept up to date on the subject.

I hope they update their list to add almonds. On pecans, I knew the shells are generally treated with hot steam before shelling, so I started to call pecan companies to find anyone who used a non-heat method because the only non-treated pecans I see are sold at enormous prices. Much as I hate bleach, at least I can afford the nuts whose shells are treated with cold water method(bleach). At least I can test the nuts for residue.

  • if everyone planted nut trees we wouldnot need those processing plants selling us inferior nuts…I dream of a world where The Food of Earth is Free and Plentiful for all people!
