Chest pains...

Before I ask this question I definitely plan on seeing a doctor but I wanted to still ask in this forum. I have been on a raw food diet for about 1 and 1/2 months now. I feel great, have wonderful energy, drink green smoothies, etc. I do on occassion get chest pains near my heart area. I always had a murmur as a child but it never gave me any pain. My question is does anyone know if a raw food diet could contribute to these pains? Thanks everyone.

  • Seize, I developed chest pain ( for 6 long weeks ) after I ate a very SAD meal after being raw for a couple of months, also I still get chest pain if I eat unsoaked nuts ( indigestion I guess ). Of course I recommend seeing an MD as you had mentioned. I had a full work up done just to find out I was very healthy but I’m glad I ruled out anything cardiac.

seize~ Great that you are going to see a doctor… soon. :)

Here a few things to notice…

    • What did you eat before the pain? You might be having a reaction to something you ate.
    • Since you have lots of energy, have you increased/changed your physical activity? Might be muscle strain from activity.
    • Here is a strange one that tends to be overlooked… Do you wear a backpack or other bag or do an activity on the left side? Women tend to have this one from carrying a heavy purse on one side. Might be an intermittent muscle strain.
    • Do you use your left shoulder to hold your phone to your ear? Strain again…
    • Look to see if you changed anything like a new bed, pillow, reading in bed, etc. It could be subtle
  • Thanks soo much you two for the quick response. I have been doing excercising… something I had put off for some time now – especially with push up bars. I didn’t even put two and two together so I guess I could have strained something that’s causing it to feel like it’s coming from my heart. I still; however, will be seeing a specialist Friday at 11am. :) Thank you again.

  • Oh good! I hope it’s only a pesky muscle strain.

Seize, maybe you have some gas and also parasites. Colonics and enemas are very good for it,but go see a doctor first and make sure you are ok.
