How long should I dehydrate my crackers?

I’m making my very first batch of raw crackers in the dehydrator but don’t know quite how long to keep them there. My concern is that I want to dry them enough so they do not rot or grow mold after I take them out. I don’t know how long I can store this kind of thing. I made them out of mostly sprouted quinoa and some sprouted wheat, scallions, orange bell pepper, some sunflower seeds, a spoon of olive oil and a bit of water. It made a thick, sort of wet batter. I did them on parchment paper at 105 for 12 hours, then flipped them onto the mesh and turned up the dial to 125. They’ve been at 125 for 10 hours and are firm and slighly moist inside and crips outside.(22 hours total) Should I keep drying them? Do they have to stay in the fridge? I”m sorry for the questions:P

  • If it’s thick, dehydrate for another day. There are cracker recipes that call for dehydrating 24-48 hours. Good luck!
