High IQ Link to Being Vegetarian

This just in from BBC News!

A Southampton University team found those who were vegetarian by 30 had recorded five IQ points more on average at the age of 10… Researchers said it could explain why people with higher IQ were healthier as a vegetarian diet was linked to lower heart disease and obesity rates.

Surely, being raw tilts things even more in one’s favor…

  • Back when I was eating meat, my IQ was 137. Guess I should get checked out again, see if I’m that much more intelligent. Hehe, I’ve watched my mental clarity increase substantially over the past 1 1/2 years since touching meat, and in the past 2 months it’s been rather interesting after finding my balance being raw, and going through some pretty major detox phases.

  • I always wonder though, does that mean being vegetarian makes you more intelligent? Or, is it just that naturally more intelligent people make the choice to be vegetarian?

  • I’d like to think it’s a bit of both!
