Do plants “select” the minerals they need to grow? For example, if you have flouride, lead, or even the good minerals like iron, magnesium, zinc… in the water or soil, what will the plant absorb? Does it depend on the plant?
What about for sprouting? After reading the fluoride link someone posted, we want to change the water we use to sprout with. It is filtered water… but what about these “extras” that don’t get filtered out like fluoride. Will the fluoride be INSIDE the sprout… (not to mention the water used to rinse with on the outside… skip that)?
Also, is it more concentrated in the sprout?

I read that plant absorb fluoride but I don’t know how much or if different plants absorb different amounts. This is a good question.
Bummer… so there is a chance our sprouts are absorbing fluoride.
