calorie question

This may be a stupid question, but here goes.

I am trying to keep track of my calories, carbs, protein etc.
Do you think the calories are the same if you juice your veggies verses just eating them or making a smoothie??

  • i’m not really sure, you would think so but once i heard that an apple has something like 70 calories and 3g fiber but when you juice it there’s no fiber (obviously) but then it’s like 120 calories.. so i dunno. i’m sorry i can’t help lol

  • If the amounts are equal, then juice is always considerably more caloric then the whole fruit/veg. If you’re being careful not to take in too many calories then I would advise just being conscious of using less sweet/sugary juices (ie. carrot, pineapple, apple, orange) and stick to more vegatable juices (cabbage, kale, celery, cucumber, etc and light citrus – lemon and lime) Does that answer your question at all??
