Nut Milk

If a recipe calls for 1 cup of nuts, then you measure out the nuts and soak them…suddenly they are not one cup anymore. Does the recipe for almond milk mean 1 cup of the dry nuts, or one cup after they are soaked???

to me it doesnt have to be real accurate . though if you use more thans called for it taste richer / better .

I rarely measure anything, it’s easier just to estimate, like a 3rd of my blender, filled with soaked almonds just add water and voila-if I am kind of running out of food and money I just add more water, and when I feel rich I add more nuts. Soaked I would guess for the almonds.

I think it means one cup dry. Soak them and then blend them with more water. Most recipes I see seem to call for 2 to 3 cups of added water. Start with two and see how you like it.
