dehydrator size?

hello! i’m considering getting an Excalibur Dehydrator. my parents have one and say it’s really good.. but i’m not sure which size to get, the 4 tray, 5 tray, or 9 tray? do you think it’s worth paying a little more for me to get the larger one?? or is the smaller one still very useful? i have no dehydrating experience, so i wasn’t sure if the smaller ones were still ok, or if people regret buying them because they are too small?? thanks!!!

It depends how much room you have and how many people you will be “dehydrating” for. I have a 5 tray, which works great for me. I’m always trying new recipes so I use it a lot. I feed 2 people. I could probably make do with a 4 tray though. Good luck.

thanks for the quick reply Sue! it would be for only my husband and i. and we will hopefully move into a house some time soon (in apartment now). so the room available doesn’t really concern me.
