ive juiced many things by putting in a big pot then pulverizing / mashing into a pulp . then adding water and mashing some more . then straining thru fine mesh metal kitchen strainer .

can also fill blender half with water , add fruits / vegis . blend then strain .

these pulverizing or blending methods allow one to get way more juice out of their produce then most juicers . and youll here alot of people say theyve stopped using their juicer and turned to using the blending method because its faster / less clean up / get more out of their produce . thats why many raw foodist ive seen say they love their vitamix / blendtec / etc , and use it to juice and as a blender .

ive made great V8 type juices with the pot / pulverizing method , and fruit types with pineapple / orange / pear / apple type deals . the key is having a strainer and bowl with a good fit where you can just set the strainer in or resting on the rim of bowl solidly so it doesnt wobble or move when pouring juices thru .
