cutting young coconuts

I had my first experience with regular coconut prep and it was an ordeal. I bought a young coconut two days ago and I cant figure out how to cut it. Any ideas?

Alissa Cohen has a great technique on her dvd. She uses the corner of a big chopping knife…. and hacks a circle around the top…. it is kind of hard to explain but really easy once you see it done and try it.

I’m starting to get the hang of both young and mature coconuts. It’s hell till you’ve figured it out.
