There is a Canadian vegan, raw, health e-store called Upaya Naturals. They are resonable. I don’t have a link sorry. Just google their name and they will come up! :)
I don’t really know if this is a great deal, but this site was recommended by a raw food chef. They carry raw cacao butter. http://www.organiclivingfood.com/pc-139-4-cacao…
Another option might be to check ebay:

But lastly, coconut butter can easily be substituted for raw cacao butter in desserts, if that is any easier to find.
Happy uncooking.
Thanks for your quick and helpful replies!! I have heard others substituting coconut butter and that is easy for me to find. The only thing is, I think it will be missing that chocolate flavour. Does anyone know how much cacao powder you would need to add to the coconut powder to mimic cacao powder?
Another idea is cacao nibs. These are easy for me to get. Could they work for the combo of cacao powder and cacao butter as that is what they are? Will a high speed blender get the texture right?
Thanks again!!!
Hi rawnerio,
You can check out our Canadian Online store @ http://www.rawnutrition.ca We will soon carry a more reasonably priced cacao butter than what is currently available in Canada. We have “Advantage Health” cacao nibs and lots of other Raw Food Supplies. With a good blender you could also try blending cacao nibs with coconut oil for a creamy spread.
