Marinating Our Meals!

So, there are like a billion recipes that say to soak, or marinate your food item in lemon juice, or olive oil, etc. How much do you use to marinate? And what do you do with the juice/oil when the food item is done marinating? Pour it back in the bottle? Dispose of it? I need answers!!!

  • I’m fairly new, but I’ll give this a shot…I use marinade to partially/fully cover the food. Depending on the dish, you can blend the marinade right into it (ie soy sauce-olive oil marinade on mushrooms for miso soup). I think I have even kept marinade to reuse in the fridge – but I would keep it in its own container, not back in the original bottle.
