What can I use as a replacement for buckwheat?

I really don’t like the taste of buckwheat, it’s just too heavy. I have a dehydrated pizza crust recipe and it calls for sprouted buck. and I would like to use something else. Any suggestions?


  • Try sprouted bareley or rye, however the latest has even a heavier taste than buckwheat, but you may like it better. Wheat is definitely too sweet to be used in a savoury recipe, but if you sprout it for only 2 days it may work as well. Good luck!
