buckwheat kasha

I looked for buckwheat yesterday (thought I was looking for buckwheat groats?) and all I could find was buckwheat kasha. A google search shows that this is buckwheat groats that have been toasted. Could I use this in the recipes here that call for buckwheat?

Thanks Lori

  • Regular Buckwheat groats are not roasted unless they say Kasha. They are greenish white in color. Kasha is Brown (roasted, not raw, and will not sprout)
