miso?

I have never tried miso but see it in numerous recipes. What does it taste like? What are the uses for it? I saw someplace that South River miso is raw. Does anyone have any experience with South River miso and where to get it?

    it’s salty and spreadable….

    it’s not raw, so adding it to your raw diet if you don’t use it already doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me. it’s “living”, meaning that it’s been cooked and then cultured.

    oh, and south river miso’s distinction is that it is unpasteurized.

    i’ve tried it, it’s really good with rice… very strong flavor… a little goes a long way
