i wonder if this has to do with the pH level in your stomach. V. Boutenko talks about this in her book, Green for Life. She mentions the alkalyzing property of green smoothies (the chlorophyll in the greens) – that brings your stomach pH to the proper level, over time. It’s possible to be raw and eat nonalkalyzing foods, i think. Something to look into.
Try the juice of half of lemon with a glass of water 20-30 minutes before a meal. Or add some apple cider vinegar to your salads. :)
