Hello everyone

I am ready to purchase a food dehydrator but am not sure whether to get a 4,5 or 9 tray. Any feedback as to what has worked for you?

i am only making food for me and am glad i got the 9-tray. it’s not that much more money, and if you ever have guests to un-cook for, it’s great to have the extra room, plus you can put bowls and plates of food on the bottom to warm and still have enough room to be dehydrating crackers on top…

I’m glad I purchased the 9-tray as well. It only arrived a few days ago, but it is a great beauty. The other issue is that the Excalibur is so large that getting a 4 or 5 tray is wasteful in terms of size, and if you get the 9-tray, the giant size won’t seem so wasteful. I haven’t made anything yet, but you can make a lot of food at once with the 9-tray. Also you may want to consider getting teflex sheets. Where I got them you can get them free (pretty much, anyway).
