Raw Dining in Silicon Valley, Palo Alto, Fremont area?

sproutness – are you located in Silicon Valley? I am in Mountain View.

Not much around for raw restaurants. Cafe Soulstice is the closest – there are two locations: one in San Mateo and a newer one in Palo Alto. The Palo Alto ones isn’t really full service yet – it is a “to-go” location but they will be expanding it soon.

There is also QueSeRaw SeRaw in Burlingame, a little bit farther up the Peninsula. Nothing in Fremont as far as I know.

If you want to go farther to the coast, in Santa Cruz, there is Cafe La Vie.

We do have a lot of Raw potlucks going on around here in the Silicon Valley area though if you are interested in that sort of thing:

thanks, queenfluff for sharing the info! no, i’m in LA but up in the bay area regularly. cafe soulstice is the one at the equinox, no? i wish there were more raw restaurants where you can have a nice, formal “dining experience.” sometimes i’m not in a casual, cafe, wait in line, take a number kind of mood.

I used to live in SJ. I don’t know of any specific raw restaurants, but there is a juice bar and cafe (fresh made juice right in front of you) downtown SJ on 2nd street near San Carlos (don’t remember the name). You can also find Vietnamese and Mexican restaurants that make fresh juice. I live in Richmond, VA right now and just found this Indian restaurant that makes fresh juice too. They didn’t look at me cross-eyed when I ordered carrot, orange, and celery juice with a splash of lime (special order).

Something to keep in mind when you’re hungry and in a pinch. :-) good luck!
