Blender Help!!

Good morning, everyone! I’m in the market for a new blender, as my current one—a KitchenAid—is more of a novelty (got an entire matching set of multiple appliances as a birthday gift). It makes pretty decent basic smoothies & such, but clean-up is awkward. I need something with more power!

I just bought an excellent Cuisinart food processor, but I don’t know if it would work the same as, say, a Blendtec or Vitamix.

What are your suggestions? And are there other brands I should consider, such as Viking or Waring?
