Well, I haven’t posted before but thought it would be a great way to be more involved. I went raw 2 years ago after my son was born and it was amazing the way I felt especially since I’m not exactly a young mother. I let bad habits slowly creep back into my life and all of a sudden time has flown by. Life is too short to waste my time not feeling the best I can. I found the raw food lifestyle after my mom went through breast cancer stuff. I started doing research and reading alot of information and thanks to the great internet found living foods. It is so simple it just makes sense. Now if I can just stick to it long term. I grew up on a dairy and my mom was addicted to chocolate. Yeah, meat, potatoes and dessert!!!!! Anyways, Nice to meet you all and look forward to some good conversations and recipes. P.S. I live here in sunny Arizona…by the foothills of the Superstition Mountains.

Welcome! If you’re lucky enough to live in Arizona, I hope you’re going to take advantage of the Raw Spirit Festival in Sedona! I haven’t been raw for very long, but I’ve been vegan for four years. For me, focusing on the ethics of veganism is the best way to stay on track. I found that it’s easier to do something for someone else than is it to do it for me. I think about the animal that gave its life for that meat or egg or milk and I know whatever momentary pleasure I might get from eating it isn’t as real as the peace I feel by saying “no”.
Thanks…..It really helps reading all these. Plus reading all the good food ideas helps when I’m hungry. They all sound so good it’s easier not to eat SAD. Now I am drinking a smoothie with berries, grapes, banana, pear, parsley, spinach and hemp. Sweeeet!!!!
