I add flaxseed to my morning smoothies and get the same results almost immediately. It’s great at keeping you regular.
blueberries also work for me.
Here in Italy flax is exclusively consumed as a laxative! Psyllium also works great, but be careful you take it with plenty of water. I accidentally added to much to a fruit pudding and didn’t drink any water with it – a couple hours later I had bad cramps. It absorbs loads of water. That’s probably more of a problem with psyllium than flax, but maybe not.
