Raw Oat Groats

CaptureCapture Raw Newbie

OK, I just bought some raw oat groats to make cereal with…but they don’t look the way regular oats do…am I supposed to soak them first? And if yes, for how long? I wanted to make oat and pecan agave clusters in my dehydrator for the bulk of the cereal with dehydrated blueberries and bananas! Sounds yummy to me! I hope this works…

Help!

Yes, You soak oat groats for about 6 hours and you can sprout them for 12-24 hours.1 cup should make about 2 cups. The groats will never be like, “regular” oats.
