Paxton, I have a VitaMix and have never noticed any “foaminess” in my smoothies. I suppose if you let them “whirl” long enough they might get foamy, but they would also warm up. Anyone else have any advice for Paxton?
I also have the VitaMix and love it. I don’t think I’ve ever noticed foam at all.
I use a blendtek and I have never noticed any foaminess. I love it because you do not have to use that messy plunger, it is more powerful, easier to clean and is easier to use. I used a vita mix that a friend has and I really did not like it at all. Make sure if you buy one though to get the Blendtek Home and not the one being sold as the Blendtek EZ. Rosemary
I have the blendtec home as well, and it doesn’t whip air into the drink. I agree with rosehebrew about preferring to work without needing the tamper.
I’m sure that either one will make you happy. They both seem to have very happy and loyal owners.
There is an opinion by greensmoothiegirl posted here: http://www.greensmoothiegirl.com/best-blender.html
After doing as much research as I could, and reading as many opinions as I could find, there were a couple of observations she made that resonated with me and swayed me to the blendtec.
I have no affiliation with greensmoothiegirl, and I did not buy my blender from her, so this should not be interpreted as any kind of endorsement or recommendation for buying from her. Nor should this disclaimer be interpreted as a recommendation to buy elsewhere.
Thanks for the input, guys. Vitamix it is. :-)
rosehebrew, I’m thinking about buying the Blendtec, but it’s a lot of money and I’m still trying to convince myself to go for it. I was wondering why one shouldn’t buy the EZ? Is it not as good? Grateful for clarification! :-)
