buckweat grouts?

My local organic shop only carries unhulled buckweat groats. So, I know I cant sprout them, should I just soak them? And even though the organic shop tells me they are raw, I wanted to ask you guys, are unhulled buckweat grouts raw?

You mean the ones with the dark hulls? You can sprout them, but you have to get the hulls off to eat them. I occasionally get one with the hull on it mixed in with my hull-less ones. I’ll bet you can order them hulled.

They are certainly raw and right from the field unless they’ve been heat dried.

I can order them hulled, but I would have to order a huge amount and I’m only feeding me. So unhulled is what I can get. Should I soak them?
