Brilliant! Thank you for posting this! Just the same way ethanol fuel is produced except it isn't fermented.

what other sweetner could we use aside from maple syrup?

  • vegan2rawvegan2raw Raw Newbie

Date syrup, RKC has a great recipe. . . or honey

I am wondering about yacon syrup

  • RawKidChefRawKidChef Raw Newbie

Awesome. Raw honey and the date syrup are my favorites. Yacon syrup is very good too except it's a bit strong.

    vegan2raw, yep I sure will, :)

ARRGH! Here's an even more comprehensive article over at living foods,

this is a bummer, I need a low glycemic sweetner. I do like Sweetleaf stevia powder tho its processed and not raw.

Yacon's quite expensive...anyone know if it has a neutral taste like agave?

Does anyone know anything about organic erythritol (not raw either)?

  • lucuma powder and also mesquite powder are very good.

Yacon is NOT neutral. It's like a cross between brown rice syrup and molasses.
