bump. anybody? Which is better- storing in a freezer or in a jar in the fridge?
Thanks :)
Storing in the freezer is definitely better for nutrient value but be sure to take them out of the trays and put them in sealed bags as soon as they are frozen. Otherwise they go all weird.
It seems that freezing would maintain the nutrition value whereas storing in the refrigerator leads to degradation of the product. I don't know about freezing wheatgrass though. Some sources say that if you dry wheatgrass into a powder, like we are seeing in so many green powders now, that it no longer holds any nutritive value. I don't know the exact effect of freezing on it. Is wheatgrass just very difficult to store in any condition? Ann Wigmore always said to use it fresh.
