Flat Bread

humanimalhumanimal Raw Newbie

Hey I heard a request about some type of pita bread. Try this out. Just thought of this of the top of my mind.

1 cup sprouted wheat berries 1 cup sprouted lentils 1/4 cup tahini 1/4 tsp of any spices you want salt if desired

Place wheat berries and lentils in a strong grinder and process them until they form a batter. Pour in the tahini and spices and mix. Form into round thin disks and place in the dehydrator until have the consistency of bread. Not absolutely certain about this recipe so make a small batch first and see how it turns out.

I have to try that out. I used to be such a pita addict. Thanks for the recipe. I love how simple all your recipes are. I usually have the time and ingredients to make them as soon as I see them posted.

  • Can you come up with one that doesn’t have wheat berries? I’m gluten intolerant :(..I miss bread.

you could try some dried corn. Just soak it for a while and then grind it up into a powder.

  • Can’t do corn either. Or Spelt or kamut. Its pretty much buckwheat, quinoa or millet for me. Tho now that I’m thinking about it, what about a mix of buckwheat and millet?

hmmm cant really tell you. I really havent had buckwheat or millet before. I dont really eat any grains at all, mostly just fruit. The only reason I posted this was because some one really wanted sumthin like bread. Hmmm… ya know that? I thin that any grain or seed would work quite well, and you can also add like spices to make it taste better. If you do decide to make some bread just go with one grain.

Hey it took me a while but I found a place where you can buy raw bread, instead of making it.

You can also check your local health food store for sprouted corn tortillas and Ezekiel bread, which is sprouted and has different kinds, like whole wheat, and cinnamon raisin.
