Hello,
I was watching a you tube video by David Wolfe and he was talking about the top 10 herbs. Here are the best onces according to him
1.Mushrooms (Most notably the Medicinal Mushrooms: Reishi, Cordyceps, Maitake, etc.)
2. Ginseng
3. Astragalus
4. Cat's Claw
5. Camu Camu Berry
6. Mangosteen Rind
7. Pau D' Arco
8. Tulsi aka Holy Basil
9. Ashwagandha
10. Garlic...
My question is this, I can find all of these from Swanson vitamins catolog. Is this what he is talking about or would it be fresh Herbs that you would grow in a garden? If so any idea where you would get the seeds for some off these?
Thanks for any help you might have

Garlic is easy to grow! Any decent nursery sells garlic for planting - you stick the individual cloves in loose soil in a sunny spot, water them a bit, and in a few months, you dig them up and you have garlic bulbs. I've seen holy basil in nurseries too.
Cat's claw is a large vine, and Pau D' Arco is a tree, so I doubt these are things one would grow in a kitchen herb garden. Mushrooms should really only be cultivated by a pro.
For things like ashwaganda, ginseng, and astragulus, we use the roots, which means you dig up the plant after a year or two, divide it, replant some of the divisions, trim off the roots of the rest, dry the roots in your root cellar (you have a root cellar, right?), grind them into a powder...it's a rather thankless task.
