Nuts are always a good bet! Any sunflower seeds on hand? There's also veggie options, like zucchini, carrots or beets (some of those denser ones).
Ooo! Suflower seeds are a good option too. I think you need to find the right balance between heavy and absorbant. I'm guessing sunflower seeds would be the most absorbant.
