Apples come from the rose family and orginated in asia. Today there are over 7,500 different types of apples in the world and over 2,500 varietes in the U.S. Apples have been found to help reduce the risk of colon cancer, prostate cancer, and lung cancer. They contain plenty of vitamin C, along with other antioxidants. They are a good source of pectin, and have no fat, cholesterol, or sodium. A medium sized apple has about 80 calories and should be eaten with it’s peel on. The peel contains 2/3 of the fiber found in the apple. By eating an unpeeled apple you can get 10% of the daily recommened fiber intake. But you should watch out for the seeds because they are slightly poisonous. Apples should be stored in the coldest part of your fridge, they ripen 6-10 times faster at room temp, than they do in cold storage…so remember “an apple a day keeps the doctor away”

Yea i thought i should just include that thought beacuse of all the talk on this site about this being toxic or that being toxic. and so if it wasn’t said than i’m sure someone would’ve added it. but i do agree with you, it won’t hurt you unless you choke on something or are allergic :)
