Will 1 Centrum pill per day give me enough Vitamin B12?

Hi, I have gone raw ^^ (and a little bit into the caloric restriction side as well, but not too much)

After doing a lot of research I feel confident my diet of nuts, seeds, green veggies and fruits should be enough, however, I am concerned about Vitamin B12.

There is a B12 fortified soy milk brand sold here that I could use, but I do not like the fact it is sweetened with Splenda (A lil paranoid about artificial sweeteners)

Instead, I would like to take 1 Centrum Pill per day, which has B12 listed in its ingredients and be done.

My logic tells me it should be enough... but I feel more experienced people here might have a thing or two to say, so I am checking first.

Thank you!

  • If I had to pick a lesser of two evils, I would go with the Centrum, definitely. However, I don't think that you'll get much out of Centrum. You might as well eat a sugar cube. Do you have a Barnes and Noble nearby? If so, try looking up the Comparative Guide to Nutritional Suppliments. It is an independent study on different brands of vitamins available in the US (and Canada I believe), and can help guide you to a better brand of vitamins. If any of those brands aren't available to you, then perhaps you can ask your doctor to prescribe you a B12 suppliment?

    Good luck!
