  • Hi writeeternity- Actually the pizza didn’t have a crust. It was a big portabella mushroom cap with raw pizza toppings. One thing to try for a pizza crust is buckwheat – it makes the crust more dry and flakey if that is what you are looking for. Ali…
  • writeeternity - If you order your BlendTec Total Blender from RawGuru.com you get free shipping.
  • BlendTec All the way! I have the BlendTec Home one in black. I like it because it is so high-tech – nice LED display and all those fun settings. Comes with a recipe book too. It is lighter than the Vitamix and has more horsepower. My bf says it has …
  • You should be able to get a good Excalibur 4 tray for around 100$. The 10$ ones are probably going to give you crappy result
in Does it matter? Comment by queenfluff
  • Are they the round ones? If so don’t waste your money, you can’t do very much in those. Save your money for a good one that has space and a good fan. Excalibur is a very popular raw foodist dehydrator. You can get a good one for around 100$.
  • I thought Hing resembled onions not cheese. I have never had it but that is what I have heard. It is used in east Indian cooking. I think Whole Foods might sell in the spices section. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hing
  • Nutritional yeast – except it not really raw. If you are transitioning and not 100% though it is very cheesy and salty tasting.
  • There is a lot of new things happening with almond issue. Lots of people are getting actions together. There was a conference call today by The Cornucopia Institute for anyone interested in the almond pasteurization issue but I missed it. I am sure …
  • For the entrees I would any of those choices except tne onion bread sandwiches – not really an entree. Are you doing all of them or are those choices? I would pick the pasta or the wraps – but I have never had raw Pad Thai or samosas – could be inte…
  • Nuttgirl, Do mind telling me which OTC ointment you used? I am interesting in trying one for my rashes on my back.
  • Nuttgirl Does the artifical tanning seem to be helping at all? Just curious because being out in the sun DOES help kill yeast and can definately help with the rashes. Yeast hates sun but I am not sure that applied to artifical light. I think it is j…
  • Nuttgirl, The anti-fungus OTC works because the yeast is a fungus. When you get yeast rashes you probably have an overproduction of yeast in you (candida). If you eat something that feds the yeast you might get more blotches. (did the soy dog have y…
  • I could not tell much from looking at your picture before but now that you say you have it under your boobs too – it makes sense what the others are saying. I have the “candida rash” myself – it is called tinea veriscolor. It is basically a “yeast” …
  • Nuttgirl, I could be that since your body is getting cleaner you are becoming more sensitive to chemical products. What kind of soaps and shampoos do you use? I would definately NOT use sunless tanners – very bad stuff! I remember when I used one on…
  • Hi Ambikalee! Actually, I never started it – in fact, I sent it back but only because it was so expensive (I got the 3 month supply plus probiotics) and I can’t really afford it right now so I opted to return it since right now isn’t a good time for…
  • Ambikalee - My spots don’t itch – they are just ugly! I had darker ones and I got rid of those with the tea tree oil. I am using the Saprox (sorry I spelled it wrong before) for the white spots. http://www.torfspa.com/saprox.html I haven’t been “slo…
  • Yep there pretty gross. Realize though that lots of those poo picture are from people who are on SAD diets. (though are not pictures from rawfoodtalk.com people – no one has gotten to that stage yet!). There was a testimony on the drnatura.com site …
  • Hi juleskess Actually I believe that Magdi (on this site) doing it right now – I am not sure if she is doing the whole kit or not. There are several people on the rawfoodtalk.com site that are starting it or will be starting it soon. I don’t know an…
  • A few people on rawfoodtalk.com have done some parasite only cleanses – I think one was called Paragone. Here is the link to the disucssion: http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/showthread.php?t=28700 (fyi there are some pretty gross pictures of poopies and…
  • spankysraw – I agree with Zoe. Don’t look at like you never started this – you pick up where you left off. I totally know how you feel right now because this week has been quite the unraw week for me. I even ate potatoe chips yesterday. After I ate …

  • Those do look nice. They are Commerical dehydrators – that is probably why you have the power problem. Those are sort of similar to the SausageMaker that I have. Similar price too. Except we have a smaller five tray and it is meant for home use. The…
  • I never heard of the Excalibur not being able to be used in regular outlets. I would plug it into one of those power strips though. I have a Sausage Maker dehydrator and it is big and has more power than the Exacalibur and I still use it in my kitch…
  • It is not really edible. It won’t kill you to digest a little of it but try to get as much peeled off as you can. It doesn’t taste good either.
  • Seems weird that she would start sneezing if your cat is downstairs and she is up. I think she would have to be closer than that to start sneezing. She can’t prove it is from your cat. Does she have other allergies? If her allergies are that bad, sh…
  • lapetitemort, Do you feel that you don’t look good with out makeup because of your skin? Once you are raw for a while your skin will start to look a lot better – dark circles and all. Keep in mind that most makeup contains lots of chemical and your …
  • I’ll add a little bit about the menustral cycle thingy. I tried the “The Keeper” – the original hard brown rubber version. I was a pain to put in and it seemed to be too big and it definately hurt to get out! I didn’t like it so I quit using it and …
  • odalys Mix some corn starch in with the baking soda and it won’t burn anymore. I used to use baking soda/corn starch mix. Baking soda alone started burning my skin after a few days but once I mixed the corn starch in their it was fine. I only stoppe…
  • Hi jenny - One of the things you can do is to just REALLY dilute your shampoo and do slowly increase the days in between shampoos. So, if you use the Aubrey dilute it with alot of water. Everyone is so used to using shampoo straight (I was – ) becau…
  • jenny There really is no “transitional” period from one shampoo to another shampoo. Shampoo is shampoo. They all strip the natural oils from your hair. I used to use Aubrey Organics too. They only seem to work when I first switch to them and than my…
  • I use practically nothing! I don’t shampoo or condition my hair any more – just water only washing (I use a very diluted vinegar rinse every once and a while) I don’t use soap on my body. I only use a pink Himalayan salt bar on my skin sometimes (un…
