  • Frontier has butterscotch “flavoring” if you don’t mind a touch of it…although it’s not raw, but at least it has no alcohol in it. You want flavorings, not extracts. Extracts have alcohol. I think that agave sort of has a bit of caramel flavor to it…

  • Well that has to be one of the coolest things I’ve heard! FYI…for those out there…do NOT USE LIME! Some people’s skin has reactions to lime and also celery juice, where their skin pigment will turn dark brown where the juice touches it (once exposed…

  • lulushka8 Interesting! How do you apply Lemon? Do you juice your lemons first and apply the juice, or just rub lemon wedges on your skin?

  • I add ground up flax seed and raw honey on top of pineapple or watermelon for breakfast :) The honey with the ground up flax seed makes a really thick paste that you scoop up with your fruit or fruit on your spoon.
  • Thanks debbietook…now I’m hungry! lol :) I will definitely try it out, I bet mine was just way too thick for our weather. Thanks so much for sharing your tips :)
  • That’s ok, they will sprout without sun too, just remember to rinse them well in the evening and in the morning to avoid any mold growth. Once they get a tail they sprout pretty fast! If you don’t have time, and they are the right length, then put t…
  • We also live in Eastern PA, so I also am interested in knowing about your location debbietook. It sure would be great to make food in the sun that way! I made something similar in the dehydrator and it got gross, smelled badly, so am wondering if it…
  • I forgot to say, if it smells badly, then you have not rinsed it enough OR you have bad seed and they’ve gone rancid/moldy. We rinse in the morning and evening, not just a sprinkle, really, really rinse, rinse, rinse the sprouts. If you live some pl…

  • What I found when researching this was (had to do a demo and talk on coconuts), when the meat is purple and gelatinous, it’s a super young coconut. The meat will thicken with age (inside of an unopened coconut) and whiten, then as coconuts get older…

  • Thanks for the tips! I am going to try the mistos too next time. The funny thing is…now I sort of like the rubberiness of the yam chips, they sort of grew on me :) They taste like jerky in texture so it takes me longer to eat them, you have to chew …

  • you crack me up! :) I normally say things like unchicken salad, veggie burger. Meat is a gross word, I agree…but really gag when people say flesh! GAG! Even raw with meat is gross, like raw bacon sounds gross…something about the word raw. Maybe vegg…
  • Sometimes I add a little water to it and shake it up if I drink it later in the day because it does tend to separate and get semi-solid/thick looking…I store it in mason jars in the fridge if I have any left over. The taste stays pretty much the sam…
