  • I tried eating sprouts recently only to be constipated for 3 days. I don’t think they are for me. I eat alot of microgreens, but not leafy greens because those are too bulky for me. As I mentioned before, eating all fruit does lack salt. My mother c…
  • Just wanna mention one more thing. Fruit lacks salt, fats (except acai and papayas and a few others), and certain vitamins such as B. However there are some exotic fruits rich in B vitamins. The biggest issue is the lack of enough protein, at least …
  • Well, just let me say this: If you eat 20 bananas that will make your blood sugars spike and even if fruitarians think that you can’t eat too much fruit, well, actually you can. I am fruitarian basically, except I add in superfoods, bee pollen and h…
  • My mother is an MD psychaitrist, I don’t know if you’re looking for psychiatry or something else.. We both eat raw and she is working in Central Maryland right now. We are considering moving to Western Maryland. I assume it’s too far, but let me kno…
  • For the graham cracker crumbs, I like to blend dried bananas because of my nut intolerance, but why don’t you do pecans and almonds (soaked and dehydrated of course). I would put cinnamonand some coconut oil in as well but I see you already have cin…
  • Well, I’m 12 and eat raw cacao. I never get jittery and if anything it makes me feel pleasant. I know what you mean about the chia pudding – it’s delicious. I posted that recipe a while back but deleted it because there were so many versions of the …
  • Oh wow thank you SO MUCH K and R….........I love how the sneak peak of the latest forum topics is at the top of the screen instead of the bottom. So awesome! I am getting my MacBook fixed! Yay no more Windows!!! Is it true that Gone Raw works better…
  • Acai!!! It is the most nutritious fruit in the world (or one of them), that actually has omegas. Since it grows in south america, go to amazon-mania.com and order AcaiRaw packs. It’s the healthiest, richest tasting stuff on the planet in my opinion.…
  • I think the nuts in larabars are unsoaked? The Colon Handbook states that unsoaked nuts are just as bad as meat.
  • I totally agree about the indian food! the rice and potatoes and cauliflower...yet it has the worst impact on the body.
  • This is a beautiful post Chris. I completely agree! I think raw wasn’t meant to be so complicated, it shouldn’t become so negative. Raw and exercise promote longevity, take the Himalayan Hunzas for example! They eat a diet of mostly fresh fruits and…
  • Why don’t you check out this post I was telling Mon46 how to make a light but delicious cracker. I actually haven’t made it yet, but I wrote down the measurements I thought would work and plan to try them sometime this weekend.
  • Your welcome Mon46.Yes, I was thinking pizza too! I got the zuchinni idea from Raw Food Real World’s walnut crackers which had squash and walnuts, but I thought why not do zuchinni alone. I’m sure yellow squash would be great too. I’ll probably end …
  • Hey…I haven’t tried the recipe yet but I was thinking it would turn out really good. Being nut and (mostly) seed free, I wanted to create this kind of cracker. I wrote down these measurements and am going to try it soon: 2 zuchinni, chopped, optiona…
  • Get B12 from algae! or brewer’s yeast (not raw) Wow, I didn’t know artificial B12 supplements come from cow intestines. That’s disgusting. Thanks for passing that info along.
  • I’m frustrated by ALL the people on this planet, not just the naive ones (except raw foodists of course) I think we need better astronomers to look for a planet that’s suitable for raw foodists and no cooked foodists allowed. I’d rather live with th…
  • Hey Chris, that was really well stated. I think recipes using maple syrup or spices are common in raw food and cannot be avoided. How about “Completely Raw” which would indirectly be saying no cooked recipes while not sounding mean. I also really li…
  • sojourner, I don’t understand why you don’t just skip the recipes that aren’t raw? If your referring to non-raw extras like maple syrup, spices, etc, these are commonly used in raw food and they cannot be avoided. Which recipe are you thinking of ri…
  • Hey there…cute dog btw. I use only raw honey. It tastes much better and healthier, and yes, it is very medicinal and actually boosts your immune and respiratory overall health. My favorite brand is Apitherapy. The honey to so smooth and decadent…...…
  • You can also make vegetable crackers without any nuts or seeds. Blend some zuchinni, nutritional yeast, sea salt, sundried tomatoes and some water to a smooth batter and dehydrate in thin crackers. Zuchinni, actually a fruit, makes great crackers. Y…
  • Bee pollen, even though derived from bees, is vegan because it is not from the bees’ mouth. It is recorded the most nutritious food on the planet. It is full of B vitamins, including B12. Might I also suggest Wild Blue Green Algae.

  • Plantains are good, but they’re not as sweet.
  • Order banana trees at Willis Orchards
  • http://www.willisorchards.com and http://www.groworganic.com The fruit trees may seem expensive, but you get an amazing return. After planting the melons, I recently saw a post from We Like It Raw about the benefits of planting your own fruit, and d…
  • Hey, you wouldn’t believe it. My local organic food store is so desperate that the manager actually follows us around – whenever we go there. I swear she’s always 3 yards behind me wherever I walk ever since I took two apple cider samples (I know, i…
  • FRUIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Get kids to eat green smoothies by blending frozen wild blueberries, with a little honey or agave, water, and E3Live bluegreen algae. Can use greens too, but algae is so much more nutrient packed and healthy.

  • I love just cutting corn off the cob and salting it and eating it straight. But you can make corn chips, hust by blending corn to a cream and dehydrating to chips. People say to add flax seeds, but lt me tell you it’s not that great. Add spices, etc…
