  • a sapote is similar to a cherimoya but not quite the same thing. it's round and green on the outside, yellow when ripe, with smooth skin, and creamy white flesh. size of an apple. they're high in protein for a fruit (5 grams each)and are really, rea…
  • bananas are too hybridized and sweet for me. I eat 20 mac apples a day! Plus about 4 white sapotes, some fresh dates, a bunch of raw apple cider, a bit of kombucha, and I'd eat a lot more varieties if I could get my hands on real, tree ripe, fresh p…
  • LOL I agree!!!
  • although I'm not religious I do believe that we could live to be much older than 100 by eating a mostly raw, high fruit diet. I believe eating wild/organic exotic fruits is a must because that's what we're meant to eat (biological habitat is tropica…

  • yea I do, but the stuff isn't organic...one time i tried sprouting lentils from an indian store and they got a taste like chemicals in it...weird I know...spices could be irradiated too...weird I know, but maybe your stuff is different.
  • wow, you know, I thought before that the pancreas became larger when a person ate cooked food, and then smaller when switching back to raw food (not an evolutionary thing). But your finding seems quite right. I read in some raw magazine that the pan…
  • Yes lyn she is focusing on her knowledge of biology instead of a more holistic point of view which she won't be able to find in her biology. weren't there, like, tests and research that proved enzymes actually aren't killed by stomach acid? I have t…

  • that's kind of the point of the raw diet. it's a good question about the recipes on here, many of which are pretty acidic, heavy, and fatty. I don't really even do the recipes on here much anymore. I basically just eat a bunch of fresh fruits and so…
  • also I think the biological diet of humans is similar to that of chimpanzees, high fruit, greens, and raw plants intake, which are very alkaline, while meat and dairy (even raw) are acidic. The ancient paleolithic thing for meat being our biological…
  • and also because I know I could live to be 150 on the raw vegan diet. :)
  • I'm vegan for health reasons. Any kind of meat screws up my digestive system big time. maybe reading this will help you a little bit http://www.celestialhealing.net/physicalveg3.htm My main food is fruit, but sometimes I stray a little bit and add a…
  • I sleep 10-12 hours. less and i'm screwed up in some way or another. it's strange though, because my mom is on a raw diet and for her that's way too much. she sleep 7-8 hours

  • because grains never grow in the wild (they are products of human cultivation), they are a bad food at least for the most part. when I buy sprouted ezekiel bread I just end up eating like 5 slices, like you. if you don't buy the bread - you aren't l…
  • I make nut milk out of nuts which is pretty much the only form of fat I can digest. Not much of an avocado eater but a tad bit of olive oil in salads sometimes. I never eat whole nuts though.

  • oh-I think veggies would taste great with some balsamic vinegar. I believe americanwildfoods.com has a raw balsamic vinegar that might want to check out.
  • i'm 811 too and I don't eat very many vegetables. What if you bought more fruit and less vegetables? I just eat my romaine lettuce in salad, the rest is pretty much fruit
