  • ok, i read the essay. the honey i buy is indeed from small, organic honey farmers who treat the bees well, and do not heat or filter the honey that i purchase. i don’t expect that we will all agree on this, but i don’t think it’s fair for someone to…
  • you can call yourself a vegan and eat honey! i find the anti-honey thing very silly. honey and bee pollen were never a part of the bees body, honey and bee pollen are incredibly life promoting, consuming honey and bee pollen does not harm the bees, …
  • thanks all… i’m going to develop a mint cheesecake pie type thing… will post recipe when it is finished!
  • thanks kandace… indeed, they are all big guacamole eaters. they would naturally eat it with chips though. i definitely would not want to horrify them with the likes of a green smoothie! gadzooks! but i think the key lime pie could be right on target…
  • conventional raw. i buy organic produce whenever possible, but sometimes the thing i want just isn’t available organic. i also shop at the farmer’s market, and most produce there isn’t labeled organic, but is probably not sprayed with pesticide eith…
  • yup, i had that problem big time.i would tell you until it gets better to avoid cacao and maca… even in the morning. generally i love them and would recommend them, but they give you mad ENERGY, more than you need until this is resolved. mine went a…

  • there was a thread about salt flushes a little while ago… basically you drink salt water and lay on your side for awhile… but there’s more specifics, and i’m not sure what they are. i’ve been using a face wash with tea tree oil and no sodium laureth…

  • i’m still kind of grossed out by green smoothies, but love green juice. is that weird? here’s my favorite green juice recipe! i head celery 2 apples 1 lemon 1/2 bunch spinach 1/2 inch piece ginger this makes over a quart of juice. i love to have…
  • it tastes a little like honey, but it’s also chalky, and just a teeny bit spicy, not hot, but spicy like fennel or something. and maybe just a teeny bit like soap, too. mostly honey and chalk. it takes a little time to acquire, but i enjoy it. you c…

  • i used to hate raw zucchini and now i like it. my husband likes to shave it into noodles and put it in salad. i still like to make raw noodles with it, but i don’t find it to be a filling enough meal.
  • you have to decide how much it matters if your small condiments and flavoring agents are truly 100% raw. if it’s that important to you, you may not want substitutes, you may prefer to just function without those things. raw honey is a great sweetene…

  • san francisco is fantastic, if you can afford it… it’s very expensive to buy property here. brisbane/the peninsula are probably best options. we have an amazing co-op with a big raw food section, not to mention any product i’ve ever wanted, several …

  • i have the cuisinart blender/food processor. i admit it won’t pass the “kale litmus test” (i tried yesterday and chunky grossness ensued) but mostly it works great. but it makes a fine spinach smoothie. see link below: http://www.lnt.com/product/ind…
  • i’ve lost about 10 pounds in the first month. i find that when i exercise it comes off much more than when i don’t. and if i am at home all day, i snack all day, which i don’t need. when i go to work, i pack a lunch and go to the gym during my lunch…
