  • Take it from someone who last year, was 17 years old 5'9" and 105 lbs., you are too thin. When I weighed between 105 and 115 lbs. I was ALWAYS cold, anemic, my periods stopped, and I rarely ate more 800 calories a day. Your body needs at least 1200 …
  • Ani Phyo has a spanish breakfast scramble that she uses tumeric in. If I can find the recipe I'll post it on this thread.

  • Acai powder is really good! The acai berry whole is probably better for you though.
  • Yeah, pink pee is going to take some getting use to, but I'm finding I really like how I feel drinking beet juice. My mom is trying them out but is having a really hard time. Just looking at or smelling a beet makes her physically ill! I have to jui…
  • LOL. Thanks lenabedina! I'm glad that's all it was.
  • Try getting some raw almond butter and coconut butter from artisana and mix it with fruit (yummy!). My favorite salad dressing is just a couple of long squirts from my bottle of flaxseed oil, a squeeze of lemon, with some sea salt sprinkled on top. …
  • Have the book and it is my favorite recipe book! It is well worth owning.
  • This morning I drank a quart of water with lemon and sea salt in it and I put everything I usually put in a salad with the exception of mushrooms, onion, nuts/seeds, and I had acid burning but it wasn't as severe and only lasted about 45 minutes or …
  • wichten, I've had a few green smoothies before (they are SO good) and haven't had any acid like burning after. If I can't fix this problem your right, that would be a great way to consume greens without the discomfort. Glamazon, WHat is raw ACV? And…
  • Thank you. I'll be sure to research that before lunch today.
  • I use hemp protein powder, maca powder, mesquite powder, bee pollen, and various nuts, and nut butters for my main protein sources. They seem to work wonders for me since I need the extra kick as I swim laps everyday.
  • I use them in salads and raw soups, yummy! :)
  • Hemp Protein powder or Bee Pollen Gel or pellets (if pellets grind finely before using in a smoothie) chia, flaxseed, brazil nuts, almonds, and macadamia nuts are what I use. They do wonders!
  • Thanks for all the great ideas. All of them sound delicious. Now I have to decide which one to make first! Maybe the fries . . . I don't know. The mango one sounds good too if only I could find some organic mangos. I found out that non-organic mango…
  • Wow, stevia is really green. I'm not 100% sure that the NOW brand is raw or the stevia is processed. I'm going to do some research and write the NOW brand a letter and ask them. Glamazon, I'll let you know what they say. :)
  • glamazon, I get the bottled powdered variety that comes with a little tiny scooper (one scoop is the equivalent of one package of stevia). I think I pay somewhere between $8 to $10 for it. carrie6292, glad you got what you needed. good luck! :)
  • Glamazon, I get my agave from either in bulk order from my local co-op group or from Whole Foods. Stevia IS white when dried and powdered (weird huh?) and I use it quite often since I do tend to use a lot of agave. I will, however, only buy one bran…
  • Hemp is only a distant cousin of marijuna (sp?). If you eat hempseed it shouldn't register as a drug in your bloodstream if tested.
  • I agree with pixx. Manitoba Hemp powder is the only kind I use. Here a couple of smoothie recipes that I use it in. They taste DIVINE! ``````````````````````````````````````` 3 fresh pears, cut in quarter and cored 1 cup almond milk
  • Rawskeptic, While I agree (due to my own fair amount of research due to my dream of becoming a nutritionist) with you on the fact that there is not a lot in man's cultural history that would suggest a raw diet be to the optimum diet. I still believe…
  • your welcome. these nuts are great for smoothies, cereals, porridge, or just to drink with some raw cookies!
  • Oh yeah! I always soak my nuts overnight and then drain them before I use them. I think it makes the mylk taste better and have a better texture (also when you soak nuts they expand so I can make more nut mylk with a smaller amount of nuts). Here ar…
  • Make some nut mylk.
  • I have raw cacao everyday! Don't know how I lived without it! I put in my morning smoothie with agave or stevia, vanilla extract, ground flaxseed, bananas, and some sort of nut mylk, YUMMY!!
  • Thanks for the advice PercysLion. I've been meaning to try some green smoothies, but just haven't got around to it. Avocados in smoothies sound pretty good; I must try that out. avocadoelikepotatoe (love the username by the way) I do believe that no…
  • Interesting information larisac. I'm going to have to look into it. Thank you!
  • I'm 5'9" with a small bone structure.
  • Yikes! That is freaky!
  • Oooh, yogi I would LOVE to know where the Gwinnet one is too! Haven't tried jackfruit or durian, sadly. Know that I know Dekalb carries them I hope to get the opportunity! :) What's cherimoya and horned melon? I've never heard of it.
  • Isn't this deal a steal?! I was just at the Dekalb Farmers Market a couple of days ago, I saw the deal on coconuts, and I felt like jumping up and down screaming YAHOOO!! right then and there. I somehow managed to contain myself and bought a box (I …
