  • odalys – thanks for mentioning the Raw Divas 7 day detox. It sounds great.
  • I have similar problems on a regular basis. When it’s up it’s fast but it’s down frequently. :(
  • I’ve never heard of them. Are they raw?

  • I never thought of that but yes, they have been spraying for gypsy moths all around my area. I am in Southern Ontario. :(
  • I agree with Crickster. If you tell your doctor what you are doing, he/she will be able to give you a full lineup of tests to make sure all is well.

  • I have a Cuisinart which I love, love, love. It wasn’t cheap but it wasn’t the price of a Vitamix. I think it was around $100. If I had it to do again, I would buy the same. Check out the Black and Green Smoothie recipe on this site – it is my favou…
  • Salba, maca, cacao, hemp seeds, chia, goji berries, blueberries. I don’t know if it’s considered a superfood but I can’t live without spinach. I have a few different stores that I visit – Whole Foods and Goodness Me Health Food Store are the two tha…
  • What a great post. Thanks mamamilk, here’s wishing you the same. Peace, Karuna
  • You’re not alone. I feel like I’m oozing hormones. The higher percentage of raw I eat, the more – ummmm, ‘amorous’ I feel. And you’re right – it sucks when you don’t have someone close by to ‘help’. Peace, Karuna

  • Hi Rosehebrew. The ones I found are from Gold Mine Natural Food Co – out of San Diego CA. I hear you about the cooked food. I’m not there yet but thanks to my dehydrator, young coconuts and all of the support I get from everyone here, I’m on my way.…
  • Aw, thanks doombot – I didn’t mean to imply that it wasn’t worth it – just that I don’t have it. :) Peace, Karuna
  • I’m in the market, but $1,699? Yikes!!! I wish I could sleep on the floor. I tried a futon on the floor at one time and felt nearly paralyzed with pain the next day. We’ll see. :)
  • I have been reluctant to keep track. My focus at the moment is working towards 100% raw. I feel that my journey is more leaning towards getting to know my body and understand how it feels. I understand that you may not trust your judgement at the mo…

  • I would also like to know. The water where I live is heavily chlorinated – terrible stuff. My parents have a $4000 full house system that removes chlorine but I just don’t have that kind of money available at my house (not with the price of organic …

  • I have used Medjool dates but I find them expensive. Although I don’t believe they are raw, I have settled on honey dates. I probably eat an average of 3-5 per day. One step at a time. :) Peace, Karuna.

  • Thanks you guys. I am hoping Zoe’s dehydrated cheese and onions will be sort of like feta cubes in salad. The non-dehydrated stuff is absolutely wonderful. I have been missing cheese and this is helping lots. I will let you know. :) Peace, Karuna
  • Excellent – I need to go to my health-food store on Tuesday – I will pick some up. Thanks very much. Did I mention I’m excited? I am currently dehydrating little balls of Zoe’s Cheese and Spring Onions recipe (little balls of heaven).
  • I completely understand. Sometimes the past hurts too much and you just can’t look at it right away – so you develop coping mechanisms (like finding distractions). It’s absolutely ok to say “I can’t look at that right now, it hurts too much”. That i…
  • Hi desenchantee. I know that you said you don’t want to become raw gradually but I really feel that this approach will help you be successful. You have identified that it takes tremendous willpower to be raw and you have also described behaviour tha…

  • I have to say that I agree with itourist. I completely understand the reasons not to use the regular deodorants with all of the chemicals, etc…. however being around some who smells is terrible. I would recommend looking at some natural alternatives…

  • I knew there was something about you el-bo. ;)
  • What a great story. :)
  • I agree. What does this have to do with the raw vegan lifestyle? Shgadwa, I appreciate your desire to talk about your religion but I really feel there are more appropriate forums than this. IMHO. Peace, Karuna

  • I’m interested in reading about this and then possibly joining the next round – what is the book? And who is it by?
  • I also use the conventional stuff. First of all, I paid a lot of money for them. Second of all, they smell great. Third of all, I paid a lot of money for them – oh, did I mention that already. :) Once they’re used up, I will probably look into an al…

  • Beautiful, beautiful video. I made a conscious decision to come home tonight and spend some quality time with my cat – my coworkers don’t understand – I don’t care and now feel doubly good about my decision. She is my best friend.
  • I am uncomfortable with his recipes being posted here – credits given or not. I think we should just be pointing people to his website. For those who are interested, it’s http://www.therawchefblog.com. Peace, Karuna
