  • I usually substitute Braggs Liquid Aminos for Nama Shoyu. It doesn’t contain wheat like most other soy sauces, including Nama Shoyu. You can buy it in health food stores, but I’ve actually food it in the organic section at Giant and Safeway.

  • Kandace, I’m not really sure of an exact amount of nuts you need when making almond milk to end up with 1 1/4 cups of almond meal after straining. I’ve just measured out exactly what I need after making almond milk a couple times. If I don’t have en…

  • From what I understand, raw doesn’t have to be vegan. Although I have chosen the vegan route, others who eat raw sometimes include raw fish, meat and dairy products. Kandace and Raymond, it is your site, so I think it should be your decision whether…
  • trinity082482, you have to try raw coconut. It is also addicting, yet good for you. It works great in smoothies and desserts. I love using it to make raw chocolate pudding, which tastes like the real thing. You can even put the pudding in an ice cre…
  • I get my young coconuts at Whole Foods. They don’t have a lot of them, so grab what you can when you see them. You can freeze the meat and the milk for future use if you buy too many.
