  • I have recently been experimenting with making my own raw chocolate. I haven’t got it quite right yet but hope to do so by next Easter. For next Easter I plan to make my own eggs, mini eggs and bunnies. Molds can be bought for just about anything. A…

  • I use baking soda and lemons to clean with. When I mop my floors I use lemon juice and hot hot water. I use soap nuts in my laundry.
  • I’m currently reading The China Study by T. Colin Campbell. The author has been a nutritional researcher for more than 40 years. The China Study is the most comprehensive study of nutrition and health ever conducted. http://www.thechinastudy.com/aut…

  • I’ve been monoeating for the last 3 weeks and every last bit if bloatedness has dissapeared. Monoeating is when one food at a time is eaten until you feel full.

  • Thank you for your replies x Has anyone else got a sleep experience to share?
  • I eat when I’m hungry. Some days I may have 7 meals, other days just 2. It depends on how hungry I feel. Breaking down the social conditioning that says we must eat 3 meals a day at specific times can be hard. We should eat when we need to.
  • lulushka8, how much MSM were you taking when you noticed the weight gain? iliveyourdream, I don't particularly enjoy the sleepless nights either! I'll try your technique. ----------------

  • I've been using just 1 teaspoon of MSM in my morning lemon water for about 6 months. I noticed within weeks that my hair and nails had grown and my skin was glowing. I recently embarked upon a 3 week megadose cleanse. I stopped because I was display…

  • Hello stibizi =) I really would have loved to attend. I’ve been feeling quite isolated the last few months so meeting other raw people would be great. Hopefully I can meet you all soon x
  • Hi Zoe, I live in Liverpool. I was considering putting up some posters in local cafes about starting a raw community up here and then I stumble across your link above! Unfortunately I can’t make this evening as I have plans. I’ll check your website …
  • I have been raw for almost a year. I have felt amazing for most of it. However, sleep has started to make or break my mood. If I oversleep it has a more noticable effect on me than it used to. If I get out of bed when I first wake up and feel alert…

  • Thank you joannabanana :) For the 8 years I was with my boyfriend I always told myself that diet wasn't important but it was so very important. Having only the food I buy in my home means there are no temptations which has helped me enormously.
  • I was just reading back over this. We have now broken up! Living in a home where all the food is raw is wonderful.
  • Thank you for your advice Raw_Chocoholic. My boyfriend will not eat curries or Indian food. He has never tasted these things, but claims he won’t like them.
  • Thank you both for your advice. I have never pushed him, as I know that is a bad tactic. I tell my boyfriend information, about what I’ve read or about what I’ve learned in university. And try to keep it in an informative tone. Even if I talk about…
  • JoyceH, thank you for the link. Nora Lenz sums up what I feel every day. I could never get it into that few words or explain it as well. That is a weblink that I will pass to my friends instead of trying to describe what I feel.

  • Cocoa does it for me. Eating raw chocolate will have me on the toilet within an hour.
  • Finding substitutes for food I used to like has helped me a lot. In the UK there are some raw bars available called Nakd bars. They’re probably the equivalent of a cereal bar. You can eat raw chocolate! Browse through the recipes on here and make so…
  • Hi Sky Princess, I have been 95% raw since April of this year. My boyfriend eats a diet of meat and chips. I used to think that he looked healthy and was healthy. After being on raw for 8 months I look, feel and am different. I’m toned and my face …
