  • Since I’m a shampooer the Morrocco method would probably be a better choice for me, thanks for the site Blueberry.
  • I had never heard of not washing your hair, I guess I’m not as green as I thought. Om, I’m with you, I don’t think I’ll ever be there but I applaud all of you who are.
  • My mother is such a big support for my raw lifestyle as well. Her goal is to be 80% raw and then possibly 100% raw. I told her that her present ( a dehydrator ) would be arriving this week and she cried. I told her that only a raw mom would cry over…

  • When I ate dairy I was very lactose intolerant infact that’s why I went vegan. I seemed to tolerated raw cheese fairly well.

  • I believe the only difference is what type of milk is used- raw vs. pasteurized. The rest of the process is the same. Raw cheese is the same consistency as non raw, but it tastes better- smoother.

  • Have you tried an herbal parasite cleanse? I know alot of people who have lost their bellies after a parasite/colon cleanse ( even 1 raw person )

  • I went through the same thing years ago. I was raw for a long time and then life happened and I went for comfort food. Good luck with your raw journey and your trialthalon. PS. I heard there’s alot of great shopping in Austin.
  • Welcome UrbanGorilla It never ceases to amaze me how all of my senses are heightened more each day. Good luck on your raw journey. I’m orginally from Ma. too ( a Cape Cod girl)
  • Hi Lucy, My BF ordered it from Alissa Cohen, I have not tried it yet but it sounds good.
  • I did soak dehydrated coconut once and then make coconut milk with it, it came out good. Have you ever tried the raw coconut powder? My boyfriend made a smoothie with it and said it was even better than almond milk. Possibly that may be a substituti…
  • Actually that was an extreme case, that women drank over 2 gallons of water in under an hour and did not go to the bathroom. Her body could not process that amount in that time and her organs shut down. As a nurse I too worry at times about electrol…

  • Very sneaky nthmost :) I find all of the different types of raw diets very interesting. It’s amazing how different we all are and how some of us thrive on one diet and others on another. I for one love to hear all of the information and take what fe…

  • Sometimes the health of the liver can effect blood clotting but changing your diet to a raw diet will thin out congested blood, this is a good thing. Although, everything needs to be in balance. You may try more greens ie; green smoothies in your di…
  • It feels as though we are all on this magical journey together ( even though we are all at different stages of this journey). I love to see the advise and encouragement of a 100%er to a new-to-raw or a curious-about-raw person. To me that’s what it’…
  • I tried a Durian once, it tasted like vanilla pudding with essence of oinion—it smelled like rotten apples. My experience was with a frozen durian, I would love to try a fresh one.
  • Raw corn on the cob is so delicious. I definately go through my phases, right now its oranges and blood oranges. I juice both of them together ( mostly because I like the color ). I can drink a half gallon of this stuff a day. I’m sure by next week …
  • Wow, my mouth is watering just looking at the finished product. I think I would keep most of my strawberries sliced instead of chunky from the food processor, just my preference.
  • I love my moisturizer, it’s called Bee Yummy. It’s 100% raw and I’m reading the ingredients right now; honey, honey cappings, bee pollen, propolis, st.johns wort oil, royal jelly, water and balsam fir needles. My skin just eats it up. Here’s the web…
  • I ordered mine online over a year ago and I can’t remember who I bought it through. I did check around and rawguru.com sells the 9 tray excalibur for 209.95 ( this doesn’t include shipping ).

  • I have the excalibur 9 tray which makes a few different recipes at the same time so it ends up saving me money and time. It was 200 dollars and I leave it running all day while I’m away. It never gets hot on the outside but I do keep it in my kitche…

  • Alexandra, I laughed when I read your problem with cravings because my BF and I went through the same thing. I was vegan before becoming raw, I remember after incorporating green smoothies in my diet I had the worst craving for thick pork chops and …
  • Thank you Zoe, I look forward the day when I am completely satisfied with just simple fruits and veggies. I am grateful that I have all of the wonderful recipes on this site until that happens.
  • Hello again, I almost forgot, my name is Susan. I have to comment on Zoe—wow 405 days! Do you find yourself eating lighter and more simple foods after being raw for over a year? ( I’ve heard that happens)
  • Okay, after 3 months of working 12-16 hr days sometimes 7 days a week I finally have a normal schedule again. I have been 100% raw for up to 3 months at a time in the past and more recently for weeks at a time. I am going shopping today, starting my…
  • I remember 10 yrs ago, I was raw for 3 months and went out to dinner with a “friend” to a vegetarian restaurant. I ordered a large salad, green juice and fruit salad for dessert. We had wonderful conversation, laughs and even a few other friends joi…
  • Hello, I can really relate to your story. I’m a nurse and I’m working towards being a 100% raw vegan. These are two very interesting parts of my life that have come together. It has been difficult at times seeing all of these people not taking much …

  • OMG, Diddiz, my BF said that he would be raw with me as long as he could still have salmon. I would love to know how you dehydrate your salmon. To be honest I never thought of fish jerky. Can you still dehydrate at low temps to maintain the enzymes?
