  • Absolutely – I love it. Thanks Roman.
  • I have found my hunger decreasing as time goes on. Yesterday is a perfect example – I was up at 6:30am, had a green smoothie (the green and black smoothie from this site), left for my meditation class at 9:00am then went shopping, visited my parents…
  • I shop for myself and usually spend about $40/week on fruits and vegetables (not 100% organic), then another $25 or so for nuts, seeds, dried fruits, powders, etc (all organic). This fluctuates with time of year. My thoughts are to really stock up t…
  • RCBAlive, you’re right – plastic ice cube trays. Once they are solid, I remove them from there but then place them in a plastic bag. I think that some experimenting is in order. Thanks everyone.

  • Hi tlksmr. Welcome aboard. There’s loads of information and everyone is very helpful. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it. Don’t be afraid to ask if you have questions.
  • Oh Karen22 – poor you. Feel better soon. We’ve all been there. Bananas, bananas, I agree.

  • Yes, that will happen. Purify your body and it will say very clearly ‘NO’ when you try to take it back. Not to worry though – it will pass.
  • Thanks for all of the information. Shgadwa, I think you have a valid point about the natural remedies – what’s the worst that could happen. Uummmm, I didn’t have gallstones. ;)
  • I had my gallbladder removed a few years ago – do I have anything to worry about?
  • Thanks guys. I am going to aim to try it next weekend….need to build up some nerve. I’m sure it will be fine – I had to talk myself into trying kale too and in the end there was nothing to be scared of. lol.
  • That’s what I needed to know – thanks.
  • Are there any precautions that need to be taken? I have read about how to do a SWF and can’t see that there would be anything complicated but well….you know…..doesn’t hurt to ask. One specific question, it takes about an hour to take effect – how lo…
  • Good for you Izhpt. It sounds like you’re almost there. I agree with Sue, if that’s all you have left to let go of – wow !!! I made a decision to not drink coffee anymore but it was the right time for me. It will happen.
  • I’m all about the Macintosh computers so won’t be able to help you with the Dell thing. ;) Good luck with the camera though, I’m sure you will love it.
  • I have a Sony too – big fan. Good cameras at a reasonable price.
  • Thanks Angie. I am going to give it another try. I don’t know if I can rinse 3 times a day. I usually leave the house at 6:30am and get home around 6:00pm. Unless I set my alarm for the middle of the night. LOL Umm, no chance of things being too hot…

  • Thanks for the offer Angie. Here’s what I’ve been up to. I have sprouted some alfalfa seeds which haven’t done very well. They seem to grow but they don’t turn green. I didn’t realize that you should uncover them after the first few days. That expla…

  • I have the same problem. First of all I thought they weren’t getting enough sunlight so I put them in the front window. Still very little activity and it’s been DAYS!!! Now I think it’s because my house is too cold. Is there an optimum temperature f…

  • Kathryn, do you have a link for the software? That would certainly make things easier.
  • I wouldn’t say that I’m worried per se but I do believe that when you decide to commit to a raw lifestyle, you also need to commit to paying attention to your body, making sure you are consuming all of the vitamins and minerals that your body needs.…
  • Let’s see…..really nice compliment from total stranger, what’s to think about, yeah, I’m in. Thanks Greg.

  • carrie6292 – the Whole Foods Market was beautiful – chock full of organic vegetables. My comment that it was ‘okay’ stems from the prices. There would be no way I could maintain my mortgage and buy my produce there. I have made a decision to buy org…
  • Well Whole Foods was okay but not really worth the drive (IMHO).
  • Hi Luna. I work in Burlington/Oakville and have recently discovered that there is a Whole Foods in Oakville – just 10 minutes away – woo hoo. I am going to go there tonight after work and see what they have. I will keep you posted.
  • OK - thanks everyone – almond milk it is. I knew there were reasons :)
  • The 4 tray dehydrator has 11 inch panels, the 5 tray and 9 tray have 14 inch panels. So, the size of the 5 tray or the 9 tray will be the same on the counter, the 9 tray will just be taller. I hope this helps.
  • I am still saving however someone I trust told me that she started with a 4 tray and fairly quickly upgraded to a 9 tray. Even though I am only dehydrating for one person, I will invest in the 9 tray – I think it will be worth it.
  • I’m sure your doctor has your best interests at heart and I’m sure he/she is giving you their best advice based on the knowledge they have. Traditional doctors just aren’t trained in this. I would look for a naturopathic or homeopathic doctor that w…
  • I am finding that quitting cooked food is similar to quitting smoking…pretty intense at the beginning while your body adjusts and then easier and easier each day. Also, when I first quit smoking (almost 2 years ago now), the smell of a cigarette was…
  • Veggie lasagna with lots of cheese, falafel pita sandwich with extra garlic sauce, crackers with cheese, my sister’s lentil soup, roasted nuts (all kinds), roasted potatoes with rosemary…..but you know what, nothing tastes as good as being healthy f…
