  • Well, my advice would be to take it slow. There is a post on here with tips for beginners, I’ll find it for you. I think that these should help you stick with it. Sorry about the finger :( hope it feels better :)
  • Well, the fresher the better. I have been told that fresh raw juice oxidizes within 15 minutes. I guess that means that nutrients are lost. It would definitely be more ideal to juice right before you drink, but hey, it’s a million times better than …
  • Thank you Zoe!! Nice of you to volunteer your time.
  • Thanks for the tips. Oh, I so know that about #3. I have experienced it plenty lol. I am a major beginner too, not quite there yet but well on my way…I will definitely be using these. Thanks :)
  • I’ve heard stress can help cause white lines and spots and such. I don’t know…maybe it’s true? I also heard about the mineral deficiency thing…...I was taking liquid minerals for a while and it helped with my white marks, so there might be some trut…

  • Yeah, I got some before at Costco and I guess they were’nt raw. I think a way that you can tell is if they look really shiny and smooth, they are generally not raw. The raw ones have more texture or something, I guess. That’s what I was told anyway.…
  • I don’t think it is the kind of dates, it’s the source. Some places steam them and others don’t. I am lucky enough to live right in date farm heaven, so I am always sure that my dates are raw…not to gloat lol.
  • Maybe you could try not adding certain fruits. Most do not combine well with vegetables, and that might be your problem. I think apples are the best combination-wise to put with vegetables. I add lemon juice too, it helps with the flavor without mes…
  • yeah, I think that if you are going to eat cooked foods, it should at least be healthy, like RawNutrition.ca said and definitely vegetarian. I mean what’s the point of being 80% raw and then eating McDonalds and Burger King? I don’t think that cooke…
  • Yeah, LimeLady, I too find that when I’ve been eating really well, and then I have a craving and think I really want something, and I have it, it’s just such a disappointment. Not at all what I thought I wanted. The most recent experience was with c…
  • Yeah, veggies don’t have many calories, so even if you are eating alot of food as far as volume, you may not be getting enough calorically. It totally makes sense. Maybe you should add some more calorie dense foods, such as nuts. Hey and two hours l…
  • Wow, that’s so cool that the raw thing is getting out there. Thanks for the articles :)
  • Yeah that’s cool. I was always a klutz, though lol. Don’t know if raw would help with that ha ha. On second thought maybe it would? Yeah I had a, um, crazy teacher once. She wasn’t Russian but she was insane. And she never really liked me much tee h…
  • hey rawkidchef, totally unrelated here, but I used to dance ballet too.:) i did it for ten years, since I was 4. I just quit a couple years ago. I was on point and everything, but yeah, I guess it wasn’t for me. I wish I was still dancing so I could…
  • Yeah, sad huh? Kids these days never get a chance. They are conditioned to eat cooked food even in school. Makes you wonder….. Glad I’m homeschooled and grew up in a truly health-conscious family. My dad was raw for 20 years and my mom is just going…
  • Yes, I totally get what you are saying. I keep hearing about not getting enough protein, calcium, etc, etc…everyone’s like”How do you get all the nutrition without milk and meat an blah blah blah..” So dumb!!!
  • ha ha humanimal, that is funny. Oh yeah, let’s keep eating this food. We see all the good it does for us!! Disease, death and obesity…right on!! RawKidChef-whoa, that is one wacky article. A nice grilled steak…barf.
  • That is funny lol Thanks for sharing.
  • So, all this stuff is raw, I assume?
  • You mean dairy cheese? If so, then yeah, you can get raw dairy cheese..I couldn’t tell you where to get it but I had some before. I got it from my local dairy when I used to live in Southern Oregon..it was actually (tastewise, anyway) better than re…

  • What exactly is teff? I know it’s a grain I just have never heard of it before. Is it really good or something?
  • well that makes me want to drink milk..yum yum lol.
  • Yeah, I’ve never seen roasted walnuts either. Guess that means they’re raw.
  • hm interesting. I find that lemon juice does the same thing for me. Gotta have it in all my green shakes!
  • There is a calorie and nutrition calculator at this site: http://www.nutritiondata.com/tools/nutrient-search It has a bunch of cooked of cooked stuff on there, I know. But it has all of the nutrition information for raw stuff too. I hope this is use…
  • I didn’t try the chewed version because i was wanting to clean out my intestines…I had the seeds this morning, I don’t know if it’s worked yet. Maybe I’ll try the chewing thing another time.
  • thanks, coconutty. Anyone know how much to take?
  • All this has been making me hungry because I am on the master cleanse. Practically drooling on my keyboard here lol. It’s funny, raw foods are the only thing tempting me right now. I am seriously dying for an apple right now, but must be strong :) I…
