  • I’m a fan of sesame milk and adding a couple of pitted dates to it for some sweetness. Yum! A little Raw chocolate added makes it lovely, too :) Cheers!

  • I recommend getting it through the Excalibur site to ensure you get their great warranty…they are the #1 choice for a dehydrator. I’m not sure you’ll get the warranty if you buy it through ebay…be sure and check. Happy Holidays!

  • You should make a trip to Tree of Life and see Gabriel Cousen’s place (that’s Raw)...it’s in patagonia. I’ve not been there yet, but maybe it’s 45 minutes from Tucson. Check out their website at http://www.treeoflife.nu/cafe.html Cheers :)

  • I’ve read that a common reason some people don’t like cilantro is because it gives an almost “metal” taste in the mouth. This could be due to the fact that cilantro draws metals and toxins out of the body; therefore, you might like it after you get …

  • Hi again, Soulfulwind, we decided to open up seating on the patio for the raw dinner night because of the long waiting list. You might be able to get in now :) Cheers!
  • Hi Soulfulwind….They have a waiting list, so it’s worth calling the restaurant and putting your name on it. The Mandala Tearoom 480-423-3411. Cheers!
  • I freeze those kinds of things all the time and they’re GREAT when you take them out and thaw. For pates and burgers there are times that I stick them in the dehydrator after they thaw depending on what kind of texture and temperature I want to eat …

  • I’m a fan of www.labelladonna.com because it has very few ingredients. I think BareMinerals has lots of ingredients???...I could be wrong but I thought I read that somewhere. Cheers!
  • I’m really excited about it because I actually have 3 takers for it so far.
  • BLUEDOLFIN: I AGREE! That would be great. Thank you for mentioning this! I’m very much into being as Green as possible and my approach will be using the online version for people who are out-of-state. For people in-state…I feel the kit is very effe…

  • The reason I stay away from Breville is it is centrifuge I believe (don’t know about the others) and this can cause your juice to oxidize quickly. You have to drink it within about 15 minutes of juicing. The GreenStar is the true Rock Star of juicer…
  • I would get the book “Baby Greens – A Live Food Approach for Children of All Ages” by Michaela Lynn (available on amazon). I would also check out the info Gabriel Cousins has on it in his books (Conscious Eating and Raibow Green Diet). Oh yeah, and…

  • Also, beets in a juicer that is centrifuge-in-type vs the twin gears of the GreenStar can oxidize quickly which can add to stomach upset. So, if you juice beets, you should drink it fairly quickly (within 15 minutes of juicing) if you use any juicer…

  • Yes, you can buy unhulled sesame seeds. I always use hulled seeds for my tahini and it tastes deliciously fresh. I think the difference between tahini in the jar, versus making it fresh, in part has to do with the (true) lack of freshness available…
