  • She meant that as a result of evolution, our mouth is too small to accommodate wisdom teeth. In prehistoric times, we had bigger heads/mouths and wisdom teeth were able to fit in our jaw comfortably. You believe in evolution, right?

  • No Schicken kabobs are delicious, they’re on goneraw. Make sure you marinade the mushrooms for a while. I also love any marinated veggies rolled with spiced buckwheat groats. You can sprout buckwheat, dehydrate, coffee grind it – ta da! buckwheat fl…
  • Livingnutritionals.com sells truly raw cashews.
  • OH man – sorry to hear that!! What jerks – selling something pretending it’s raw and it’s not even all honey!

  • i like the 9 tray. it make a hum sound… like a window fan, turned on medium setting. I can easily sleep when it’s running. i use 9 trays for big loads of fruit (to dry), drying buckwheat groats, drying spiced nuts, making pizza crusts, etc. It’s nic…
  • Hi Donna, Welcome to goneraw! Have you tried any of the lovely recipes on this site? I love veggie based recipes. It’s fun to create huge salads with any base – think outside the lettuce! Try salads with cucumbers and dill, or tomatoes and basil, or…
  • Sure, as long as the water temp is 115 degrees.
  • Nope… but i saw a delicious recipe where you blend cantaloupe seeds strain them then pour them over the canteloupe. It makes a sweet sauce.
  • Two grocery stores in my town sell them. I’m guessing yours don’t?
  • The plants water supply is filled with chemicals, so the plant drinks them up. They aren’t applied topically anymore. You can’t peel it – most produce is treated with pesticides and herbicides in the water. The exception might be fruit trees, where …

  • lalala – tell us more about the kitchenaid food processor. The one in the link you sent us is 7 cups, not 11 cups. Is this 7cup processor the one you own? Does it have a lot of power? How well does the 3 cup attachment work?
  • Oh, one more thing to try. If the seed cheese is STILL not smooth enough, do this: grind the seeds/nuts in a coffee grinder (anything except pine nuts will work). Then you’ll have nut powder. NOW put the nut powder in the food processor and blend aw…
  • Glad it’s helpful advice! I bet you’ll use that processor all the time. I recommend macadamia nut cheese if you really want to indulge. Raw mac’s are $15/lb at livingnutritionals.com – just blend em with water/lemon/salt and it’s SOOO creamy and goo…
  • I recommend a cuisinart 3 cup food processor, especially since you’re making small pates, sauces, dressings, cheeses – 3 cup is better for small quantities. if you prep food for 2 or more people, perhaps the 7 cup is better, but you’ll have to commi…
  • I don’t know any more than what the link says… Matt said that “There was absolutely no indication whatsoever that the Thai Coconut samples provided to Michelson Laboratories was ever in contact with formaldehyde.” We were excited! Not only could we …
  • They aren’t necessarily dipped in formaldehyde. Check out this link
  • Beany it worked!! I have LOVELY dried blueberries. Here’s what I did: Put blueberries on dehydrator trays. Turn the dehydrator to 140 degrees (per Dr. Howell Enzyme Nutrition, and Gabriel Cousen’s recommendation that it’s safe at that temp for the f…
  • hi beany, thanks for the reply! This morning, 1 quarter of the blueberries were shriveled. Excellent suggestion about puncturing. I’ll do that tonight. I tried looking online for instructions about drying fruit in a raw manner, and found nothing. Go…

  • Carol Alt uses animal products in some recipes, so I steer clear of some of them. They have some good information, but not too scientific. I’d recommend Enzyme Nutrition by Dr. Howell or Gabriel Cousens – any book.
