  • Chris – I’m glad you mentioned the julienne peeler. I should buy one, and compare it to the world cuisine device. It does sound like the julienne peeler is easier to use and clean.
  • Hi Luna blu, I’ll let you know how well the slicer works, once it arrives.
  • yes sweet potatoes CAN be eaten raw, but yams are not. now, here’s the confusion: in the US, mostly only sweet potatoes are sold. but they’re CALLED yams sometimes. However, overseas, true yams are sold – and they’re NOT okay to eat raw. “Yams are n…

  • Yeah – i’m with ya there, renoir. now i’m committed to buying only organic. i think the pesticides have been making me sick (digestive stuff) and this is the last straw. organic – or i won’t even bother.
  • I was WONDERING why my prepacked organic baby carrots tasted strange. are they coated in something? hmm… i should check. YIPES!
  • I’ve had that experience – i tried some not raw salsa, and it was BAD news. tasted yuck. I’ve heard that combining non raw and raw ingredients is a recipe for disaster. Things just don’t come out well. I’ve had this happen before i went all raw. gro…
  • fun site – a lot of the recipes look fairly easy too.
  • good to hear!! some green smoothies give me more energy than others. but they always help curb my HUGE food cravings… so then i have more normal lunches (today: green smoothie. lunch: avocado, tomato, 3 kiwi, larabar, 2 cups lettuce with cucumber sl…
  • Green smoothies helped to curb my hunger. even when i wasn’t hungry first thing in the morning, i had a green smoothie. Before i started this habit, i used to go without breakfast, then i’d need to gorge on food by 10 or 11. and at night i was eatin…

  • Raw_Chocoholic – good to know. I was fed all conventional produce my entire life. I bet i have a million toxins in my body. I’ll probably read rainbow green too. That’s exactly what I’m wondering – is eating organic important at my age (23), or is i…
