  • My husband had always teased me a little about the raw thing so I was shocked a few weeks ago when he said he wanted to try to go raw from thanksgiving until christmas to see. He’s doing well with it, I don’t think he’s as hooked as I’d like him to …

  • the sea tangle noodles are my new love! ordered a box and have literally ate them everyday. Today I am having them with some peas, sliced carrot and a honey mustard dressing. I’ve had them just about every way possible, some asian inspired, some Ita…

  • My best friend told me she had started about six months prior (we live in different states) and really loved it. I would say I’m a lifelong dieter so I wanted to try it as a “diet”, but I’ve come to realize it is a lifestyle and one that I want to s…
  • I am glad you all are talking about running and eating because I am struggling with this. I’ve been a runner (slow runner :)) for several years, completed two marathons. I always relied on the typical carb loading foods like pasta the night before a…

  • Some of the changes people make can suprise you in a wonderful way. At first my husband teased me about raw, called it another one of my “fads”. Then he decided to try it for three weeks. Now he’s decided that while he may not want to go raw (yet) h…
  • Maybe I’m not “raw” enough yet to have these kinds of reactions, but I find no real reaction to cooked food. I try to only have cooked food on occasion, maybe pizza after a long hike or some rice with sashimi every so often but I just don’t find it …
  • I like Raw Food Real World .. good recipes and just a pretty book. Natalia Rose’s Raw Detox Diet book is great too.
  • thanks for all the ideas.. on a related note: I started composting last spring. I just keep a big pile outside. With winter coming, what do I do?

  • I have gone deodorant free as well and notice I still sweat (alot) and sometimes smell. I think sometimes different bodies just are different because my husband is not raw and never smells at all and I’m about 90 percent raw and still sweat/smell
  • where is the other forum? I have the same question.. I think making rejuvelac seems hard. I don’t know where to get the wheatgrass..
  • I also researched before buying, bought the Blendtec, and regret it. It’s great for smoothies and soups, but doesn’t work at all, for me, for nut cheeses/ sauces/ stuff like that. You have to use a bit of water to get it going and it still has troub…
  • without getting into the protein debate: I really enjoy sunfood raw prot. powder for an extra boost.. I usually throw a little fruit and a scoop of that in the blender in the morning and it keeps me good till lunch
  • Has anyone tried the blender Breville makes? I have their juicer and love it, and am considering getting their blender too. It’s about 200 dollars so a bit less than Vitamix, but I’d rather spend the extra money with the Breville is no good
  • I live in Plattsburgh New York (way upstate, just south of Montreal) and there are no raw restaurants to speak of. There is a nice co-op with some raw items and I talked the produce manager of the grocery store into ordering young coconuts. If I wan…

  • My husband and I end up spending about 150-175 per week. That seemed to stay constant from when I was raw and he wasn’t, to now, he is trying raw. I usually go on a big shopping raw once every two weeks and spend about 300 dollars, then have to go t…
